There is a clear gap between the supply and the demand for Texas nursing jobs. Like elsewhere, Texas is suffering from a shortage of nurses, to the tune of 70,000 by 2020. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts excellent growth for physical therapist jobs and physical therapist assistant jobs. According to the U.S. BLS, the median annual physical therapist salary is $72,790, while the median annual physical therapist assistant salary is $46,140.
