Nebraska Parish Nursing Jobs

Nursing jobs in Nebraska are in high demand, as the Nebraska Center for Nursing projects a 20 percent shortage of nurses in the state by 2020. Because of this, the center is currently reaching out to healthcare facilities statewide to develop and implement strategies to combat the increasing shortage. The main factors contributing to a shortage of nurses is an aging workforce and a lack of nursing faculty. The good news is as demand for all types of nurses increases, funding for expanding programs and improving recruiting methods has as well.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) calls parish nursing, faith community nursing. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts excellent, overall job growth for registered nurses. The median annual salary of registered nurses is $62,450; annual salaries are greatly influenced by specialty, experience, region and industry.
