Denver Nurse Anesthetist Jobs

The Colorado Nursing Association reports that the shortage of qualified candidates for Denver nursing jobs is twice the national average and that by 2020 there will be a 30% vacancy rate for nursing jobs in Denver and the rest of Colorado. Home health is one of the fastest growing sectors for Denver nurses, but the region has also seen the opening of a number of new hospital facilities as well. Nurse Anesthetist

Certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice registered nurses that have been certified to provide anesthesia and related care before and after surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic and obstetrical procedures. To become a CRNA, a licensed, registered nurse must have at least one year of work experience in an acute care setting, earn a master?s degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program and pass the National Certification Examination (NCE), which is developed and administered by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (CCNA). CRNAs are among the highest-paid registered nurses, making an average annual salary of $168,500.
