Nevada has an abundance of available nursing jobs. As the nation.s fastest growing state, it also has fewer nurses as a proportion of its work force than almost anywhere else in the country. In fact, it has the second-to-worst nurse to population ratio in the nation at 604 per 100,000. This has resulted in some hospitals in areas like Las Vegas having to send patients away for certain care they are not equipped for. This is a problem, but is good news for any RNs, LPNs, or Nursing Assistants looking for work. There is a constant statewide demand for nurses in Nevada, and salaries and benefits offered rank near the top among Western states.
