Nephrology nurses, also called renal dialysis nurses, treat patients that suffer from kidney disease that has been caused by substance abuse, diabetes, hypertension and more, and patients that are at-risk for developing kidney disease. The major professional organization for nephrology nurses is the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA).
