Arkansas Emergency Nursing Jobs
Arkansas is facing similar challenges in filling its nursing jobs as many other surrounding states. One of the main concerns is that not enough nursing students are graduating to keep up with the pace that new RNs are needed. The fortunate part is that Arkansas has many nursing positions currently available, because the profession has not been as drastically affected by the economic downturn as it has in many urban areas in the country.

Because emergency nurses treat patients of all ages suffering from an extensive range of illnesses and injuries, emergency nurses must be able to recognize and treat a wide variety of ailments, quickly and efficiently. The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) offers certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) and Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN). BCEN?s CEN and CFRN certification credentials have been accredited by the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ABNS).
