Washington Nursing Jobs
While currently Washington D.C. is one of the few areas in the country without a large scale need for nursing jobs, that could change in the coming years. Because of the down economy, fewer people are being treated at hospitals. According to information from the Washington Post, for the first time in at least 10 years nurses are struggling to find jobs in the D.C. area. However, there is still a demand for acute-care and emergency room nurses in hospitals. Some D.C. hospitals include Georgetown University Hospital, Providence Hospital, and Washington Hospital Center, which was recently recognized by US News & World Report as one of the best hospitals for heart surgery, endocrine disorders, respiratory and geriatric care.
